You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Grow existing customers while generating new business with a passion for sales and achieving key business KPIs
  • Work independently within a set sales strategy to meet account-specific budgets
  • Lead cross-functional projects to ensure delivery on time, on spec, and within budget
  • Develop and implement customer-specific sales plans aligned with commercial targets
  • Track and review performance against customer KPIs and targets
  • Use resourcefulness and innovation to drive value, gross margin, and volume targets
  • Assign, monitor, and coordinate project milestones with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and plan project implementation, managing resources and relationships effectively
  • Drive innovation and NPD through market research and identify growth opportunities
  • Contribute to the wider commercial team by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas, and helping achieve team and company growth objectives

What's required?

  • Strong commercial acumen and account management skills
  • Sales process expertise, including winning new business
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Skilled in negotiation and influencing outcomes
  • Proficient in data analytics and analysis
  • P&L management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • People management and leadership abilities
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supplying food to top 6 UK retailers
  • Retail/FMCG experience, ideally within private label for top 6 grocers
  • Experience within the food product category
  • Branded food supply experience to top 6 grocers (advantageous but not essential)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Experience in Critical Path Management
  • Resource planning and allocation expertise
  • Project risk assessment skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
