You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Under the direction of the Technical Manager, provide support and guidance to ensure food safety and product labelling compliance in accordance with regulations and customer requirements.
- Efficiently handle and manage all customer complaints, liaising with suppliers and customers.
- Assist with technical training of relevant staff, ensuring full understanding of food safety, quality, legal requirements, and internal processes and procedures.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of BRCGS Storage and Distribution accreditation.
- Carry out finished goods product checks against artwork or product specifications at goods intake.
- Work closely with the warehouse to ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety, hygiene, and internal procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to ensure all product labels, artwork, and specifications comply with legislation and requirements. Ensure externally supplied products are relabelled in accordance with UK legislation.
- Manage relabelling processes and ensure correct application of stickers in line with internal procedures and external guidance.
- Collate packaging data for internal and external reporting.
- Organise product samples for testing.
- Process and review control paperwork.
- Assist the Technical Manager with critical projects, managing and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Action customer requests related to product details in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to complete product and packaging specifications, providing assistance where necessary.
- Support the artwork approval process from start to finish.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Purchasing, and Warehouse on tasks and projects.
- Provide technical input on NPD/EPD initiatives.
- Assist with projects related to own-label brands, managed brands, and private-label products.
- Provide administrative support to the Technical Manager, maintaining technical records.
- Undertake any other relevant duties as required by the line manager.
What's required?
Essential
- Degree in Food/Nutrition/ProductDevelopment or similar
- Fluent in English
- Proven IT skills and ability todemonstrate working knowledge if MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Great attention to detail and accuracywith a commitment towards continuous improvement and service excellence
- Experience of UK labelling compliance orUK labelling requirements.
- Good written and verbal communicationskills.

Desirable
- 1-2 year experience within the foodindustry or in a similar role
