As a Technical Manager, you will lead technical operations and join a business that has experienced significant growth over the past six years. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Technical Leadership: Oversee food production processes to ensure the highest quality and consistency across bakery and pastry lines.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP, and work towards achieving and maintaining SALSA accreditation.
- Workforce Training & Development: Develop and deliver structured training programmes, including one-on-one coaching sessions, to enhance the technical skills of kitchen staff.
- Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control measures to ensure products consistently meet brand standards and customer expectations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and innovation within the kitchen.
- Supplier & Ingredient Management: Collaborate closely with suppliers to maintain ingredient quality and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Audit & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, conduct internal audits, and ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date.
What's required?
- Proven experience in a Technical Manager, Quality Manager, or Senior Chef role within a bakery, pastry, or food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and SALSA accreditation.
- Experience in training and developing kitchen teams to enhance technical skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement effective quality control processes.
- Excellent communication skills with a hands-on leadership approach.
- Passion for innovation and excellence in food production.
