As a Technical Manager, you will lead technical operations and join a business that has experienced significant growth over the past six years. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Technical Leadership: Oversee food production processes to ensure the highest quality and consistency across bakery and pastry lines.
  • Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP, and work towards achieving and maintaining SALSA accreditation.
  • Workforce Training & Development: Develop and deliver structured training programmes, including one-on-one coaching sessions, to enhance the technical skills of kitchen staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control measures to ensure products consistently meet brand standards and customer expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and innovation within the kitchen.
  • Supplier & Ingredient Management: Collaborate closely with suppliers to maintain ingredient quality and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Audit & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, conduct internal audits, and ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date.

What's required?

  • Proven experience in a Technical Manager, Quality Manager, or Senior Chef role within a bakery, pastry, or food production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and SALSA accreditation.
  • Experience in training and developing kitchen teams to enhance technical skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement effective quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a hands-on leadership approach.
  • Passion for innovation and excellence in food production.
